The Hotel Luzzatti Rome could hardly be better situated
for guests wishing to explore all the delights of central
Rome. On a side street of the Viale Manzoni, the hotel is
very close to the Manzoni underground station, itself only
one stop from the Termini Station, making access to Rome’s
airports and outside attractions very easy. The surroundings
contain some of Europe’s richest and most varied architecture,
as well as a vibrant street life suitable for the sightseer,
gastronome or fashionista.
Vittorio Emanuele was the (modern!) Republic’s great
unifier and it is from him this area close to the centre takes
its name. In the immediate vicinity are all local conveniences,
including a supermarket, and, more impressively, the church
of Santa Maria Maggiore, as well as the busy
Via Nazionale with its bars, restaurants
and stylish boutiques. Also within easily-manageable walking
distance are the glorious sights of the awe-inspiring Colosseum
and the ancient remains of the Imperial Forum,
once the centre of the civilised world. Slightly further out
are the gardens of the Villa Borghese and of course, the Vatican
City whose wonders can be mined again and again.
Given the proximity of the Hotel Luzzatti to the Termini Station
why not consider making an enjoyable excursion outside the
Eternal City, to the gardens of Villa Adriana
at Tivoli or the ruins of the ancient Roman
Port of Ostia at the mouth of the Tiber?
